Juant.io("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform. Please read it carefully.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information you provide directly
- Account registration details (name, email address, password hash).
- Organisation name and business details.
- Supplier contact information (names, email addresses).
- Documents and files uploaded for ESG evidence purposes (e.g. utility bills, ISO certificates).
- Questionnaire responses submitted through the platform.
2b. Information collected automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps).
- Session tokens (stored as secure, HTTP-only cookies).
- Background job logs (structured, with PII fields automatically redacted).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Process AI-powered document extraction on your uploaded evidence files.
- Send transactional emails (e.g. supplier invitations, account notifications) via Resend.
- Process subscription payments via Paddle.
- Maintain security and detect/prevent fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. AI Processing of Documents
When you or your suppliers upload documents to the platform, those documents may be processed by Anthropic's Claude AI API for the purpose of extracting ESG-relevant data fields. Uploaded documents are stored in Cloudflare R2 (encrypted at rest) and are accessed only to fulfil extraction requests. We do not use your documents to train AI models. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share your information only with:
- Anthropic — AI document processing (Claude API).
- Cloudflare — File storage (R2) and CDN.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery.
- Paddle — Subscription billing and payment processing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Juant.io, our users, or the public.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law. Backup copies may persist for up to 30 additional days on encrypted storage.
7. Security
We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage, HTTPS-only access, JWT-based session management, and row-level tenant isolation in our database. Sensitive fields in background job logs are automatically redacted. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@juant.io. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (secure, HTTP-only session tokens). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from logging in.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
